Chocolate Martini 

I absolutely love a good chocolate martini, but living in the Netherlands, I quickly realised that it’s nearly impossible to find one at local bars—or it just doesn’t exist on the menu at all! So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn how to make it myself. After some experimenting, I found the perfect balance of rich chocolatey goodness and smooth vodka, creating a drink that’s just as indulgent as it is delicious. Now, I can enjoy this luxurious treat anytime, and I’m excited to share the recipe with you!

Ingredients

  • 60ml Premium Vodka
  • 52.5ml Crème de Cacao White
  • Melted Hershey’s Chocolate Ganache (for rimming the glass)
  • 1 Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss (for garnish)

Methods

  1. Prepare the Glass:
    • Rim a Martini glass with chocolate ganache about 1.5 cm from the edge.
  2. Mix the Drink:
    • In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka and Crème de Cacao White.
    • Stir the mixture well over plenty of ice.
  3. Serve:
    • Pour the chilled mixture into the chocolate-rimmed Martini glass.
    • Drop a Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss into the drink for garnish.

Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients:

  • Equal parts heavy cream (slagroom) and chocolate bars (1:1 ratio)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the heavy cream (slagroom) until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and pour over finely chopped chocolate bars.
  3. Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Use this ganache to rim the Martini glass.
