I absolutely love a good chocolate martini, but living in the Netherlands, I quickly realised that it’s nearly impossible to find one at local bars—or it just doesn’t exist on the menu at all! So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and learn how to make it myself. After some experimenting, I found the perfect balance of rich chocolatey goodness and smooth vodka, creating a drink that’s just as indulgent as it is delicious. Now, I can enjoy this luxurious treat anytime, and I’m excited to share the recipe with you!
Ingredients
- 60ml Premium Vodka
- 52.5ml Crème de Cacao White
- Melted Hershey’s Chocolate Ganache (for rimming the glass)
- 1 Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss (for garnish)
Methods
- Prepare the Glass:
- Rim a Martini glass with chocolate ganache about 1.5 cm from the edge.
- Mix the Drink:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka and Crème de Cacao White.
- Stir the mixture well over plenty of ice.
- Serve:
- Pour the chilled mixture into the chocolate-rimmed Martini glass.
- Drop a Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss into the drink for garnish.
Chocolate Ganache
Ingredients:
- Equal parts heavy cream (slagroom) and chocolate bars (1:1 ratio)
Instructions:
- Heat the heavy cream (slagroom) until it just begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and pour over finely chopped chocolate bars.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Use this ganache to rim the Martini glass.
